I never imagined that one of the most painful moments in my life would lead to the most meaningful work I’ve ever done. When I lost Luke and Hannah in 2008 —my two dogs… my companions… my family— I was devastated. But what shocked me even more was the way their passing was handled: cold, clinical, disconnected. As a licensed funeral director since 1994, but more importantly as a dedicated pet parent, it felt wrong.

I realized something profound: if this is how I felt, how many others must feel the same?

So I built Pet Passages® not as a business first, but as a calling. We’re here to change the way families say goodbye to their pets—to bring dignity to every passing. To offer real comfort, real care, and real professionalism.
